Hazel is the four-year-old artist behind Hazel’s Easel.

Her love of painting began when we first introduced her to paints and gave her the freedom to explore. What started as a fun way to create quickly became something she genuinely loved - mixing colours, making marks and turning a blank canvas into something completely her own.

Hazel takes much of her inspiration from nature and the world around her, but what appears on the canvas is always through her wonderfully imaginative four-year-old eyes.

Her paintings have developed a style of their own, often filled with distinctive shapes, repeating patterns, playful lines and layers of colour. There are no rules and no striving for perfection. She paints instinctively, choosing what feels right to her in the moment - which means every piece is completely unique.

Hazel has also decided she has a very important reason for selling some of her paintings - she’s saving for her first car. A pink Rolls Royce!

She might have quite a few years to go before she can drive it, but that just gives her plenty of time to paint.

Every original from Hazel’s Easel is a tiny snapshot of how Hazel saw the world at four years old. And we think that makes each one rather special.
